Classes and Advisory
Ethics is integrated into all aspects of Kent Place School life!
We are proud to include required ethics courses as part of our K–12 scope and sequence.
We also offer a variety of ethics-centered electives, and students experience ethics integration in all courses at Kent Place School.
We provide activities and discussion plans for our middle and high school advisors to run during our advisory periods.
These resources integrate ethics with personal and interpersonal development goals of our advisory program. These include discussion starters, interactive skits, concept spectrums, and case studies that touch upon the topics of friendship, family, conflict resolution, honor code violations, integrity, self-advocacy, and leadership. In many cases we develop resources for advisories as requested to address student and teacher emergent needs.
A PERFECT ADDITION TO YOUR
MIDDLE SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
The Ethical Conversation Cards for Middle School students present relevant, real-world middle-school dilemmas with guiding questions on the back that are centered around values.
The cards are made to initiate ethical thinking, discussion, and reflection in the classroom, at home with family members, and as individuals.
It's the perfect addition to your Middle School Advisory Program or Homeroom Activities!
