Bioethics Program Teacher Training | June 12-15, 2023

Bioethics Program Teacher Training will be held June 12–15, 2023 for up to six high school teachers looking to establish a bioethics program in their school. Participants are responsible for transportation and housing. Lunch will be provided. This program runs concurrently with our Bioethics Scholar Summer Program, so teachers will see the program in action! This program is offered in a hybrid format -- educators can attend this training virtually over zoom.

LOCATION: In Person at Kent Place School or Virtually via Zoom.

WHO: High school educators looking to establish a bioethics program in their school. This program is capped at six participants.

COST: $2,000; lunch is provided

HOUSING AND TRANSPORTATION ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PARTICIPANTS

LOCATION: Mohonk Mountain House, New Paltz, New York 

WHO: K-12 Educators This program is capped at 15 participants.

COST: $2,200 per person

EIKPS Summer Institute for K-12 Educators | July 24-26, 2023

EIKPS Summer Institute for K-12 educators will be held July 24–26, 2023 at the Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, New York. This program will be limited to 15 educators. Teachers, staff and administrators are all welcome. Participants will be expected to complete readings and assignments over the course of this summer intensive program. The daily schedule will include the following programming:

  • The Importance of Ethics Education: Student Panel

  • Book Discussion: Personal Value & Decision Making Processes

  • Introduction to Ethics: Crash Course

  • Integrating Ethics into your Classrooms: Tips, Tricks & Models

  • Lesson Study: Workshop on Participant Generated Curriculum

  • Navigating Difficult Conversations: Facilitation Training

All lodging and meals are included in the price of registration. Participants are responsible for getting themselves to and from Mohonk Mountain House.
