An Ethical Systems Approach to Creating AI Policy in Your Schools
Date: June 23, 2025, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Description: Artificial Intelligence is innovating faster than governments or school policies can keep up, leaving many institutions with policies that cannot properly address the opportunities and challenges AI poses to students, faculty, and staff.
Join us for an all-day professional workshop to explore with fellow educators how the nature of education and learning is shifting with AI, and learn how to create roadmaps and tools to address the new ethical issues AI presents. We will engage in the education and training required to create successful AI policy, including:
-
Discussion of best practices for teaching and learning in the ever-evolving AI environment
-
Understanding your values regarding teaching and learning, and how Gen AI influences them
-
Employing a values-based approach to community wide conversations about AI
-
Using a systems thinking framework to create policy based on school culture, needs, and values
Presenters:
