The Ethics Institute: An Ethical Systems Approach to Creating AI Policy in Your Schools - Monday, June 23
Artificial Intelligence is innovating faster than governments or school policies can keep up, leaving many institutions with policies that cannot properly address the threats AI poses to students, faculty, and staff.
Join us for an all-day professional workshop to explore with fellow educators to help educators how the nature of education and learning is shifting with AI, and learn how to create roadmaps and tools to address the new ethical issues AI presents. We will engage in the education and training required to create successful AI policy, including:
-
Discussion of best practices for teaching in the ever-evolving AI environment
-
Understanding your values regarding teaching and learning and how Gen AI disrupts them
-
Employing a values-based approach to community wide conversations about AI.
-
Using a systems thinking framework to create policy based on school culture, needs, and values
Monday, June 23 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
