The Ethics Institute: An Ethical Systems Approach to Creating AI Policy in Your Schools - Tuesday, February 18

 AI  is innovating faster than governments or school policies can keep up, leaving many institutions with policies that cannot properly address the threats AI poses to students, faculty, and staff. Join us for an all-day professional workshop to help educators create roadmaps and tools to address the new ethical issues AI presents (like deepfakes). We will discuss how to integrate ethics into digital literacy courses, and engage in the education and training required to create successful AI policy, including: 

• Using systems thinking to develop policy

• Grounding in Gen AI language and usage

• Understanding your values in regard to teaching/learning and how Gen AI disrupts them

• Developing an authentic policy based on school culture and values
