Anna Butrico Conti Joins Ethics Institute as Associate Director
Anna Butrico Conti is the new Associate Director of the Ethics Institute at Kent Place School. She graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in English and studied at the University of Oxford, St. Anne’s College.
Ms. Conti wrote for Meta’s newsroom team; was chief of staff for Odgers Berndtson, a headhunting firm; and served a variety of roles at the McChrystal Group. There, she was General (Ret.) Stanley McChrystal’s speechwriter and with him coauthored Risk: A User’s Guide (October 2021). Ms. Conti says her experiences outside of academia have informed her passion for developing ethical leadership skills in students, the decision-makers of the future.
“The Ethics Institute at Kent Place is a unique, special place,” she says. “I’m excited about focusing my time on building young, ethical leaders in a world that demands them. I look forward to dedicating myself to growing the next generation of ethical thinkers who will lead the way.”
“The Ethics Institute has gained an incredible leader with the hiring of Anna Conti as its new Associate Director,” says Director of the Ethics Institute Karen Rezach. “She brings a wealth of experience, expertise, skills, and enthusiasm to our team and our school. She’ll be a difference-maker and move the Institute forward in exciting ways.”
This fall, Ms. Conti is teaching Portraits of Empowerment, an elective; she’ll be teaching Ethics 9 in the winter and spring trimesters.
